The people who can teach at the highest level are concentrated in a handful of cities. The people who need them are everywhere. For most of the history of vocal training, that mismatch was simply accepted — you moved, or you made do.
We think the interesting problem is not video calls, which everyone has. It is trust: knowing the teacher is who they claim to be, knowing your money is safe until the lesson actually happens, and knowing there is somewhere to go when it does not.
